Mark Teixeira is good

And let me tell you something right now...

If the Rangers blow this game after that, I don't think I'll be able to continue to be a sports fan.

Update [2006-8-4 2:10:51 by Adam J. Morris]: -- Sigh.

I don't know the last time I remember feeling so wrung out by a Ranger win. The fact that it is a little after 1 in the morning has something to do with it.

If -- IF -- the Rangers stay in the playoff race, if they are playing meaningful games at the end of the season, then this is a game that will stick in the mind.

And as great as the Mark Teixeira home run was, the plays that really made the difference in this game were the GMJ throw/Barajas catch to nail Orlando Cabrera at home, and Kevin Millwood's play on the Juan Rivera combacker to the mound on the very next at bat to get the Rangers out of the inning with a 3-2 lead.
