Heyman on Beane and Moneyball

A weird column up from Jon Heyman today...

He quotes a National League executive as saying that "Moneyball" is "somewhat fraudulent" because Billy Beane actually wins by finding players who know how to win. Heyman goes on to say that getting players with good stats like walks, OBP and homers might have worked in the "steroid era," but now is "out the window" as a key to success.

Weird.
