More ridiculous award voting

This is about a week old, but I just haven't gotten around to posting it until now...

Sacramento RiverCat Scott McClain was named the Pacific Coast League MVP.

McClain is a third baseman, who posted a .252/.313/.466 line for the RiverCats. His 779 OPS was 41st in the PCL.

However, he was 3rd in RBIs, which apparently was all the voters looked at.

So, too bad for Jack Cust (.293/.467/.549), Jon Knott (.280/.353/.573, and a league-leading 113 RBIs), and all the other more deserving PCL players this year...

Just completely inexplicable...
