Toronto has signed Victor Zambrano to a minor league deal.
He'll join John Thomson and Tomo Ohka in the Jays' grab-bag of cheap back-of-the-rotation options this season.
It is actually not a bad group of moves in aggregate...while any one of those guys is a questionable bet, between the three of them, you should probably get a decent performance from the 5th spot in the rotation.
And if lightning strikes and all three guys are healthy and productive, Toronto suddenly has some nice ammo to make some deals this summer.
I'd rather have those three, at their salaries, than Jeff Weaver for 2007.
