T.R. Sullivan looks backwards and forwards

New, 9 comments

T.R. Sullivan has a couple of items up today, one with a recap of the 2007 season and one with a look forward at the 2008 season.

Sullivan says what we've been expecting...it isn't likely that the Rangers will have a real active offseason, particularly if they strike out on Torii Hunter. Sullivan indicates that the 2008 rotation is largely set, and the 2008 closer will likely come from within. Given that there are plenty of internal options to fill out the rest of the bullpen, I wouldn't be surprised if the Rangers didn't add a single major league free agent pitcher this offseason.
