Jon Heyman discusses the changes coming in New York after the Mets' collapse, and suggests that a couple of folks with Rangers ties could end up in Met uniforms next year.
Heyman predicts that Rickey Henderson, who was brought in as hitting coach during the season when Rick Down was fired, will be shown the door, and that Rudy Jaramillo, who has long-standing ties with Mets g.m. Omar Minaya, will be approached about taking over the hitting coach duties.
And Heyman also suggests that the Mets, who are looking for better defense behind the plate, will allow Paul LoDuca to leave as a free agent after the season and look to add Pudge Rodriguez on a two or three year deal.
