A few bits of site news

Okay, a few items regarding to LSB and SBNation and such that I wanted to share...

First, if any of you blog or are interesting in the blogging world, the Blog World Expo is coming up on Nov. 7-9 in Las Vegas. There are a bunch of different areas being covered concurrently in sessions (you can see a breakdown of the conference schedule with speakers here), and I'm going to be speaking on one of the panels on sportsblogging, so if you didn't get enough of my dulcet tones during the NBC Sports Fantasy podcast, you can hear me ramble some more at the Blog Expo. Pricing and package details are available here, and there's a discount for the Expo if you sign up by October 19.

Also, I've mentioned this before, but again, if you haven't already, definitely check out the revamped SBNation home page. It is part of the gradual rollout of SBNation 2.0, which is going to include a lot more neat features on the SBNation sites.

What kind of neat features, you may wonder? Well, if I told you, I'd have to kill you...and I'm too busy to go kill hundreds of people right now...but from what I understand, among other things, there will be a lot more information and data available on the site vis-a-vis standings, scores, games, schedules, etc. And it won't rely on Ben (or me, for that matter) to be updated.

And finally, I didn't notice until today, but on Friday, LSB crossed the 2 million visit mark since inception in April of 2005 (visits, of course, being different from page views, of which we are somewhere between 7 and 8 million).

So thanks to whomever the unknown person is whose visit to LSB ended up being number 2,000,000 (although I'm sure it was probably someone Googling "Melissa Lima dress").
