Another morning without much on the Rangers front...

T.R. Sullivan had a blog entry yesterday evening that says that the players the BoSox want for Coco Crisp are Eric Hurley, Luis Mendoza, and a third prospect. I'm guessing, along with the Gagne trade, the BoSox would like a do-over on the Bryan Corey trade...

Something Sullivan says that makes little sense, though...

The Rangers do have to be interested in reliever Joe Nathan if the Twins try to move him. Problem is he can walk after 2008. But if you can hold the asking price to two players, you get two draft picks if you can't re-sign him.

A team in rebuilding mode should not be interested in trading for a 33 year old closer who is a year away from walking as a free agent, and who will likely cost (via trade) at least as much as what the Rangers got for Eric Gagne last year...probably more, really...
