"You're either rebuilding for something special, or you're on the verge of something special. To be in between is foolish."

At the risk of sounding pretentious, I think that's pretty profound.
Are we on the verge of something special here?
Nope...not with the talent on the major league level...
Can we rebuild for something special here?
Given the talent at the minor league level, yeah, I think so.
Now, for those who want the Rangers to trade for Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera, or give up the farm Erik Bedard, or are mad we didn't give Torii Hunter 5 years, $90 million...
Would any of those moves put the Rangers on the verge of something special?
Nope.
Would it help in rebuilding towards something special?
Given the costs involved, probably not.
