Rockies give Aaron Cook a 3 year, $30 million extension

Aaron Cook gets a 3 year, $30 million extension from the Rockies.

Geez.

Cook was under contract for 2008 at $4.5 million, and this gives him some bonus money for 2008 and extends his deal through 2011, with a mutual option for 2012.

Cook has been good for the Rockies, but has had a hard time staying healthy.

I guess this isn't really a bad deal, given the way the market is currently going...but man, I have a hard time seeing Aaron Cook as a $10 million per year player.
