Oakland A's attrition

New, 1 comment

The Oakland A's have a couple of injuries they are dealing with, with Bobby Kielty out for 3-6 weeks with a torn meniscus in his knee, and Mark Kotsay sidelined because of back spasms.

Kotsay is really the bigger issue for the A's. If he isn't healthy, then Oakland has to go with Milton Bradley in centerfield, which hurts their outfield defense quite a bit. Kotsay has struggled with back issues off and on his whole career, and with both of the A's backup outfielders -- Shannon Stewart and Kielty -- limited to corner outfield duty, this is something to keep an eye on.
