On Zambrano, ARod, Chipper and Erstad

New, comments

Remember the Ryan Drese/Rod Barajas brouhaha? The Cubs had a similar episode today, with Carlos Zambrano and Michael Barrett getting into a shoving match in the dugout after a passed ball and throwing error by Barrett contributed to a 5 run inning.

Joe Torre drops ARod in the grease, saying that yelling at Howie Clark to distract him when trying to catch a popup was "out of line." Hard to imagine Torre not backing up any of the other Yanks in a similar situation, and one more indication that ARod is opting out after 2007 (saving the Rangers about $22 million over the next three years).

And Chipper Jones and Darin Erstad are both heading to the disabled list.
