While the Rangers were washed out this afternoon, Oklahoma played, and Jason Botts continues to perform.
Botts was 3 for 4 tonight with 2 doubles and a walk. My back-of-the-envelope calculation has him at around a 930 OPS, with a OBP approaching .430.
He's obviously not going to get a chance in Arlington this summer until the circus leaves town, but he's continuing to do everything he can in AAA to show he deserves a long look at the majors, and probably deserved that long look starting in April.
