New, comments

Another off day today, before the season resumes tomorrow...

Mike Heika writes about Marlon Byrd's hot year, with Ron Washington saying (again) that Byrd was sent out this spring because of his defense, not his bat, but that his defense is much better now...

Jean-Jacques Taylor continues to show he doesn't know baseball, as he says that Craig Biggio -- one of the best second basemen ever to play -- isn't a HOFer, and suggests that Frank Thomas doesn't deserve to be there, either.

The S-T has an item on "emergency catchers," with JHJ saying he wants to catch someday...

And the L.A. Times noticed Mark Teixeira's comments from yesterday, saying that he "shredded" the Rangers and suggesting that the Dodgers could part with James Loney and a pitcher to get him.
