Nick Masset -- a key part of the, shall we say...controversial...McCarthy/Danks trade -- has been optioned to AAA by the ChiSox.
ChiSox fans appear relieved -- Masset had an ERA over 7.00 on the season -- but I'm guessing this has more to do with getting Masset some innings in the rotation in AAA, as Chicago seems to view him more of a starter in the long-term, and there are discussions that one of the ChiSox starters could be dealt by the trade deadline.
