Evan Grant has a new Ranger newsletter up...
Believe it or not, he says he'd be on board with bringing Brad Wilkerson back to be the Rangers' first baseman in 2008, if Mark Teixeira is gone (and a young, replacement first baseman doesn't come back in a deal).
And we have this item, in explaining why John Koronka isn't likely to be claimed on waivers:
Koronka has a reputation as a nibbler and for being somewhat stubborn in his approach and, well, the hard truth is that he wasn't able to crack the worst rotation in baseball.
While I don't have a problem with Koronka being put on waivers, that description sounds uncomfortably similar to another 27 year old lefty pitcher the Rangers put on waivers in 2003.
