Thursday a.m. things

Nice come from behind win against the ChiSox yesterday, with Sammy Sosa driving in the tying and winning runs...and all of a sudden, the Rangers' hopes of getting a top 5 draft pick have diminished. If the season were to end now, Texas would pick either 9th or 10th (they have the same record as San Francisco), although again, so many teams are bunched together, getting swept in their next series could have them picking 3rd or 4th...

Evan Grant has some love for Kam Loe, who had a pretty solid night (if one ignores the throwing errors). Grant also notes that the Rangers' team ERA since the All Star Break is 4.10, 5th in the A.L. during that span.

Dave Sessions talks about John Danks' homecoming.

Frank Catalanotto left the game yesterday with a groin injury, although he is day to day and thus presumably won't miss much time. With lefties pitching the next couple of nights, he should get a chance to rest.

And for those who haven't seen it, Jamey Newberg has a good report out today explaining why he doesn't want to see Eric Hurley called up when rosters expand.
