Tom Glavine blowing it

After giving up 6 runs in his last start against the Washington Nationals -- including 4 runs in the first inning -- Tom Glavine is blowing it for the Mets again today.

With 1 out in the first inning, he has the bases loaded, has allowed 5 runs, has walked two batters, contributed a throwing error, and just hit Dontrelle Willis -- the pitcher, of all people -- to force in a run.

Clearly, the problem is the Mets should have gone with someone with more big-game experience.

Update [2007-9-30 13:41:46 by Adam J. Morris]: -- Glavine has been pulled. Still in the first inning.
