The Atlanta Braves and Mark Teixeira avoided arbitration, with Teixeira getting a 1 year, $12.5 million contract.
Not a bad payday for Teixeira, who will probably be looking at $18-20 million per year for 5-6 years after the 2008 season.
And a couple of closers have settled...Brad Lidge got a 1 year, $6.35 million deal, and Huston Street got a 1 year, $3.3 million deal.
Of course, it is still questionable whether Street will be with Oakland or elsewhere come Opening Day...
