The biggest news today is that the much-discussed Ian Kinsler contract negotiations appear to be coming to fruition...

Evan Grant's DMN article Kinsler and the team are close to a 5 year deal worth more than $20 million, with a 6th year option that would increase the value by another $10 million...

And Grant has an update on the DMN blog saying the deal is done, at 5 years, $22 million, with a $10 million option...

Grant also has some blog notes from camp yesterday, including details of some changes in the way the team is having its pro scouts follow teams...
