Anaheim won't have John Lackey ready to go until mid-May at the earliest...he has a strained right triceps...
That means the Angels will be without their top two starters for a while, since Kelvim Escobar has a bad shoulder, and there's no timetable for his return (although the official angels.com writer guesses it will be early May).
And Josh Beckett's back has him not able to play catch yet, and he'll be out for the BoSox's season opening series in Japan.
