Relatively quiet today out there today...

Richard Durrett says Michael Young thinks he can hit for more power than he did last year...Young says his mechanics weren't consistent in 2007, and by getting that fixed, the home runs will come. We shall see...

Evan Grant has a newsletter up that talks about the Ranger front office relying both on stats and scouting in their decision making process, and has some stuff on the Botts/Cruz/Mench battle and Julio Borbon...

Randy Galloway has his requisite feel-good piece on Josh Hamilton, although he also says that Edinson Volquez wasn't a serious contender for the Rangers' rotation in 2008...it is part of a theme of how cheaply Hamilton was acquired, but my recollection is that Volquez was pretty well pencilled into the rotation before that deal went down...

And Anthony Andro takes a look at the Rangers halfway through camp, with Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler, and Julio Borbon all qualifying as "hits" thusfar...
