The parallels are striking.
Vicente Padilla on the mound for both games. Shaky, but gives the team some innings. In both games, the visitors jumped out with a big first inning, only to let the other team into the game soon thereafter.
The Rangers get a lead late, in part due to bad defense, then the bullpen blows it. The Rangers then come back with a 10th inning home run to win.
The parallels aren't perfect -- particularly given the first game was a walk-off win, and the second required C.J. Wilson to come in and put out the fire -- but still, those two games seem oddly similar.
And they left me with the same sort of queasy, that could have been worse but should have been better feeling afterwards.
