Adam Eaton is peeved

Adam Eaton is unhappy, and wants the Phillies to release him.

The Phillies, of course, would be happy to trade him for a 26 year old backup Midwest League catcher if someone would just pick up, say, $500K of the $9 million Eaton is owed for the season.  That isn't happening, though.  And Eaton isn't helping matters:

Asked if he'd consider starting the season in the minors, Eaton said, "If we get to that point, I'll be released. And I don't think that's the end of the world by any means. It would be kind of prudent not to trade for me. I'm not going to accept another assignment. It doesn't take a rocket scientist for another GM to maybe wait and take your shot at getting me for less than a trade would be."

Okay...let's say Kevin Millwood or Vicente Padilla gets hurt this spring, will miss the first couple of months of the season.

Would you be willing to pay $500-750K of Eaton's salary, and give the Phillies nothing of value in return, to take Eaton and see if he can get things straightened out here?
