Our man Z has a post over at the DMN blog, looking at the upcoming pitching matchups for the next 6 games...
There's been some discussion about how the Rangers have seemingly been catching everyone's best pitchers lately...well, that changes the next six games, as Texas is set to face John Danks and then a bunch of guys who aren't real good (at least anymore, since Bartolo Colon and Jose Contreras used to be good).
Of course, the hitters are going to have to take advantage of the soft underbelly of the rotations that is being presented...the offense has a history of occasionally going into Operation Shutdown against weaker pitchers, particularly finesse guys, so we shouldn't be pencilling in a huge offensive explosion just yet.
But the opportunity is there to have a nice little stretch going forward...
