Maury Brown has a post up looking at the Rangers' projected 2010 payroll.
It looks like the Rangers will end up starting the season with a payroll for the 25 man roster of about $58.5 million, which is around $10 million less than last year.
However, that doesn't include the $3 million the Rangers are kicking in on Kevin Millwood's salary, the $2 million they owe Frank Catalanotto for 2010 for the buyout of his option, or the $1.75 million they owe Vicente Padilla for the buyout of his 2010 option.
That would put the team at about $3.25 million below last year's Opening Day payroll.
