Thursday a.m. Rangers things

New, comments

Jeff Wilson has some notes up in the S-T today about the rotation and DH situation, saying that Neftali Feliz won't move to the rotation unless he can be an "impact" starter, and talking about alternatives to Vladimir Guerrero at the DH spot should a deal not be able to be reached with him.  Wilson seems to suggest that Derrek Lee and Adrian Beltre aren't very viable options because neither of them would likely accept being a DH, although there's no reason either of those guys couldn't be in the field, with either Mitch Moreland or Michael Young, respectively, moving to DH.

Kevin Sherrington says that, with Cliff Lee now gone, the Rangers shouldn't panic and spend big on a free agent.

Jennifer Floyd Engel says that, with Cliff Lee now gone, the Rangers shouldn't panic and spend big (in terms of prospects) to trade for a Zack Greinke or Matt Garza.

Jon Paul Morosi says that the Rangers have some interest in Fausto Carmona, but I'd be very leery of giving up value for him, given his track record.
