Posnanski on Gonzalez's HOF case

Joe Posnanski has a piece up that looks at the cases of various Hall of Fame candidates who, in his words, were good enough to merit some extra consideration but not good enough to make the final cut.

One of those that he talks about, at some length, is former Ranger Juan Gonzalez.  Posnanski is pretty critical of the way Gonzalez's career ended, and he makes the case that Gonzalez being named MVP in 1996 was one of the worst decisions the BBWAA has made in handing out post-season awards.
