This Day in LSB History

New, comments

One year ago today, we discussed the Rangers' very, very busy day, as they traded Kevin Millwood for Chris Ray and a Rule 5 pick used to select Ben Snyder, and then signed Rich Harden, before later that evening (after this linked post went up) agreeing on a deal to trade Max Ramirez for Mike Lowell.

I was very wordy in my thoughts in this post, and there were over 400 comments in the thread, but this also has a line I particularly liked:

Bob Sturm, tweeting earlier today, referred to Millwood as a "horse."  The problem is, in the second half of 2009, the horse Millwood resembled was Barbaro.

Millwood, incidentally, is a free agent right now.  Anyone interested in him if we can't sign Lee?
