Saturday morning Rangers stuff

Encouraging game yesterday.  After the first two hitters of the game, Colbyashi looked really, really good.  The bats showed some signs of life, picking up 12 hits and plating 6 runs.  The Rangers got back to .500.

Jeff Wilson's game story talks about how Nelson Cruz and Vladimir Guerrero were joined by their teammates in producing offensively yesterday.  T.R. Sullivan's game story has some quotes from Ron Washington about how strong Colby Lewis was, in going 7 innings and allowing just the lone first inning run.

Evan Grant has a blog post up about Colby Lewis's pitch selection, and his deciding to go with his changeup, which he'd been struggling with, to go after Ichiro in the 7th.

Drew Davison has a story in the S-T about Julio Borbon's hitless start to the season.

The notes at the Rangers website includes Ron Washington saying that he was sticking with Borbon as the team's leadoff hitter and would be playing both Joaquin Arias and Andres Blanco at second base, along with the news that the hitters held a meeting yesterday to talk about their cold start.

Matt Harrison gets the start for Texas today, his first start since being sidelined early last year with the TOS problem that cost him most of the 2009 season.

Ian Kinsler and Jarrod Saltalamacchia both got injections yesterday, and the S-T talks about the plans for them going forward.

Jason Parks takes a look at Rangers pitching prospect Chad Bell at BBTiA.

And Maury Brown has an update on the Rangers' sale situation.
