Friday a.m. Rangers things

Jeff Wilson's game story from yesterday's loss focuses on Frank Francisco's blown save and C.J. Wilson's sterling performance.  But while Frankie is getting a lot of blame for yesterday (and not without reason), it is worth pointing out that you aren't going to win a lot of games when you only score one run.

Gil LeBreton writes that the issue right now for Texas is, where is the offense?  T.R. Sullivan writes that the Rangers have a two-man offense right now, and that's simply not enough.

Evan Grant says that yesterday's blown save highlights a problem with moving Wilson to the rotation, and suggests that Wilson may be more valuable in the pen than in the rotation.  That's yet to be seen, but if the Wilson we saw yesterday is the Wilson we'll be seeing in the rotation all season, there's no question that the Rangers are better served with him as a starter, rather than as a reliever.

Ian Kinsler got another injection in his ankle yesterday, and his return date is still up in the air.

The S-T has notes up on Colby Lewis's return tonight and Josh Hamilton being "out of whack," according to Ron Washington.

Sullivan has his Friday morning blog notes up.
