The Rangers have bad players (according to the Sporting News)

The Sporting News has their top 50 players in baseball list out, and not a single Ranger made the cut.

I find it hard to believe that the Rangers don't have anyone on their team better than Todd Helton, or Torii Hunter, or Ichiro, or Carl Crawford, or Bobby Abreu.

And Derek Jeter is supposedly the 4th best player in baseball.

This list is stupid, and I feel stupid for having read it.

Of course, then I go down and look at the list of people who voted, and the panelists include (names selected at random from many, many listed individuals) Ben Grieve, Ralph Garr, Darren Daulton, Peter Ueberroth, Bill Buckner, and Denny McLain.

After reading the list of panelists, I'm questioning my decision to even link this, because I think that a random sampling of LSB posters would be better qualified to put together this list than the people on the panel.
