After much thought, I still think having Julio Borbon swing away last night was the right move, although I think it is one of those things that can go either way.  I wouldn't be high pissed if he'd bunted, and I'm not high pissed he swung away.

Jeff Wilson's game story has Ron Washington saying that he wanted to give Borbon, at 1-0, a chance to swing away and get the runner over by pulling the ball.

In T.R. Sullivan's game story, Scott Feldman says he felt good yesterday, he just didn't execute.

Evan Grant has his post-game notes up, and mentions that Feldman ended up saving the bullpen by going seven innings yesterday, despite his poor start to the game.

The S-T's notes talk about Neftali Feliz successfully handling the second half of a back-to-back, and Julio Borbon's recent spate of sitting against lefties, among other things.

Jeff Wilson has a story up about Chris Davis, who speaks pretty frankly about his sense that Justin Smoak is the Rangers' first baseman of the future, and that he doesn't know where he stands in terms of the team's plans for him going forward.
