The Rangers' team OPS this season is 759, good for 6th in the A.L.
However, there are only four positional players* on the team who have an OPS higher than 759 -- Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton, Vladimir Guerrero and Michael Young.
* Colby Lewis has a 1000 OPS in 4 ABs. He, of course, doesn't count.
In fact, there are only two other positional players on the team who have an OPS north of 700 -- Elvis Andrus, at 708, and Ian Kinsler, at 715.
It is remarkable to me that the team OPS is so high when so few players are actually hitting, particularly given that Cruz and Kinsler each have missed significant time with injuries.
