The Rangers have signed supplemental first round draft pick Luke Jackson for $1.557 million. Per BA, that's the fifth highest bonus so far this year, and the most above-slot paid yet.
Keep in mind that the above-slot bonuses generally aren't announced until right around the deadline, so those numbers will likely change.
Still, this is very good news, and an indication that the Rangers were willing to allocate some of their savings in the first round to later picks.
UPDATE -- Per Jeff Wilson, Jon Daniels has confirmed that the Rangers have not yet agreed to terms with Jackson.
