Some fun with numbers while looking at the Rangers' lead in the A.L. West.

The Rangers are 9.5 games up on the second place team in the A.L. West.  The other five division leaders are up a total of 4.5 games on the other five second place teams.

Only once in team history has the team had a bigger lead in their division than they do right now.

Anaheim has spent the past two days at 10 games back in the division.  Prior to that, they hadn't been 10 games back since 2003.

The Rangers have the third best record in the majors right now.

BP's Playoff Odds Report gives the team a 95.6% chance of making the playoffs.

The PECOTA-adjusted BP Playoff Odds Report gives the team a 99.5% chance of making the playoffs.
