Wednesday morning Rangers things

The Rangers are now up 9 with 18 to go.  The magic number is 10.  If the Rangers play .500 ball the rest of the way, Oakland would have to win out to just force a tie in the West.  BP has the Rangers' playoff odds at 99.8%.

Jeff Wilson's game story discusses the Rangers coming back to score the last ten runs after a sloppy start to the game, to pull away for the 11-4 victory.

T.R. Sullivan's game story talks about Dustin Nippert wriggling out of a bases-loaded jam in the 5th as part of 4 1/3 innings of shutout ball that gave the Rangers the chance to come back and win.

Sullivan's notes provide some updates on the pitching staff and shuffling in the rotation, along with an update on Josh Hamilton's injury situation.

William Wilkerson writes that Hamilton had to shut down his session in the batting cage yesterday because of pain.

And the 2011 schedule is now out.
