Saturday morning Rangers things

Well, the magic number stayed static yesterday.  A 2-1 loss to Felix Hernandez is disappointing, but he's one of the best pitchers in the majors, and he was pretty clearly on yesterday.

In Jeff Wilson's game story, he indicates the Rangers felt they had a chance to win yesterday's game, while Ron Washington says you have to tip your cap to Felix Hernandez.  Cap tipping is spreading...

T.R. Sullivan's game story has the Rangers saying that Felix was even tougher than usual yesterday.

Evan Grant says that problems stopping the running game would be a disaster if the Rangers end up facing Tampa in the playoffs, as Tampa has a lot of guys who can run.

Josh Hamilton got two cortisone shots for his aching ribs, and is hopeful he'll play on this road trip.

Sullivan's notes talk about Hamilton, Jeff Francoeur getting some work at first base, and Elvis Andrus hitting better since his return from hamstring problems.

Sullivan also has a story about 10 key decisions the Rangers made, both in the offseason and during the season, that have led to the Rangers' 2010 success.
