The New York Daily News has a piece on Randy Levine calling Chuck Greenberg "delusional" and ripping him, and includes in the story a comment that MLB backed Greenberg and Ryan in buying the Rangers despite other groups out there having higher bids.
I was under the impression that, given that there was an auction and all, Greenberg/Ryan ultimately had the highest bid. The Daily News appears to think otherwise.
