MLB is going to decide at 1:00 p.m. today whether Game 6 of the World Series will go forward as scheduled, or whether it will be postponed and played tomorrow.
The weather forecast for this afternoon and tonight indicates that there's a good chance of rain, and MLB has been pretty adamant about not wanting games to start and stop. The fact that they are announcing they are going to make the decision this early seems to suggest, to me, that they're leaning towards cancellation and rescheduling of the game.
Ron Washington has already said that Colby Lewis will start Game 6, whether that's today or tomorrow, and Matt Harrison will start Game 7. After Harrison's shaky Game 3 start and Derek Holland's terrific Game 4 start, there was some thought that Holland could go in Game 7 if rain postponed things by a day, but Wash is saying it will be Harrison regardless.
