We are still waiting to see if the Rangers are going to face off against Detroit or New York in the ALCS.

Personally, I'm not sure who I'd rather face. New York is probably the better team of the two, although their starting pitching (outside of C.C. Sabathia) is pretty vulnerable. You'd prefer to face Detroit if you think they're the weaker team, particularly since Texas would have home field advantage against the Tigers.

On the other hand, Detroit has been a house of horrors for the Rangers the past few years -- I'm still traumatized by the 2009 Easter Day meltdown -- and on a psychic level, I'd probably feel more comfortable going up against the Yankees.

But really, it is pretty much a coin flip for me.

In any case, we've got a poll...cast your vote about who you'd prefer to face in the ALCS...
