There's big news this morning, but not Rangers-related...

The big news in the sports world is that there has been a tentative deal reached between the NBA and the NBAPA, with a result being that the NBA season is expected to start at Christmas.  That's obviously great news, and with the NFL, NBA and MLB all getting new CBAs in place in the last six months or so, it means we've got labor peace for years to come in the sports landscape.

Moving on to the Rangers...

Anthony Andro looks at the Rangers' centerfield situation, and lists five options for Texas.  Andro suggests that Julio Borbon has the inside track right now, and also lists Coco Crisp as a possible one year solution.

In a rather amusing exchange on Twitter this morning, Jon Heyman said that Michael Young might be his favorite player in the A.L. to deal with, but that whoever voted him first on their MVP ballot should be tarred and feathered.  Evan Grant responded that he voted Young first, and that he acknowledged it and has talked about it at length, but Heyman probably missed it because he was busy looking for the "mystery team."
