Cyber Monday Rangers Update

Coming out of a major holiday weekend, with free agency still in a deep freeze, things are a little slow in Baseball World right now. However, over the next week or two, we should start to see some transactions shake loose and before we know it, Albert Pujols will be a Ranger.

As was reported last night, the Jim Crane Astros are cleaning house. Matt Snyder at CBS Sports has a few notes on Crane letting GM Ed Wade go. The Rangers-impacting aspect of this news is Crane is apparently a big fan of the Rangers' front office and Rangers assistant GM Thad Levine looks like an early contender for the job.

As Juan C. Rodriguez of the South Florida Sun Sentinel writes, the C.J. Wilson Magical Mystery Free Agency Tour rolls into Miami today. No word on whether or not Wilson will give any suggestions on how to improve the Marlin's home run celebration sculpture.

Finally, Matt Young of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times writes about Mike Adams visiting Robstown to speak at a youth baseball clinic and discuss his thoughts on being a Texas Ranger.
