Wednesday morning Rangers stuff

Today is the deadline for bids to be submitted for Yu Darvish, and Jeff Wilson writes that not only are the Rangers not expecting to land Darvish, they may not even submit a bid. Wilson says that the Rangers are "committed to the business model," and that model apparently doesn't include spending on Darvish.

Wilson mentions, in his piece, the Rangers' interest in trying to trade for Oakland lefty Gio Gonzalez, and Richard Durrett has a piece at ESPN Dallas looking at the pros and cons of acquiring Gonzalez.

The DMN blog has some excerpts from Ian Kinsler on the Ben and Skin show yesterday, where he discusses the departure of C.J. Wilson.
