Two years ago today, we talked about two significant deals that were going down -- a three way deal where Philly was getting Roy Halladay and sending Cliff Lee to Seattle, and Boston signing free agent pitcher John Lackey to a 5 year, $82.5 million deal.

That's more cheerful reading than reading about what happened a year ago last night.
