Tuesday Morning Rangers Update

Now that we are on the other side of Christmas, we should start to see the remainder of the offseason take shape.

Jon Paul Morosi thinks things will be busier this year than it usually is this late in the offseason. Morosi writes that the Rangers could be in on Prince Fielder, a non-Fielder first baseman, a late-innings reliever, a more established starter with Matt Harrison on the trading block, and Yoenis Cespedes. So, basically, everything.

Richard Durrett has Yorvit Torrealba's apology for shoving an umpire in the Venezuela league. Torrealba was suspended for 66 games and says his actions were regrettable in his statement.

Finally, T.R. Sullivan has a 2011 Year in Review piece up on the official site. It's mostly about a game that happened in St. Louis in October that was horrible. Read at your own peril.
