So Adrian Beltre is injured, which means stories about Michael Young...

Jeff Wilson's story on the Beltre injury is headlined, "Injury proves Young can play major role with Rangers."

Richard Durrett has a blog post up about how Beltre's injury shows why Young is so valuable.

Evan Grant has a write-up on yesterday's intrasquad game, with the big news being Colby Lewis being rocked for five runs, including a Nelson Cruz homer, in his one inning.

Wilson's notes include a recap of yesterday's intrasquad game, a talk with Mike Maddux about long toss, and injury updates, including info on Scott Feldman.

Durrett says that Mark Lowe's surgery means that he can finish his pitches better, which is resulting in improved command.

And remember how Tom Hicks tried to hang onto the Rangers by getting Fox to loan him money as an advance against future TV revenues?  Well, Frank McCourt tried the same thing with the Dodgers, only to have MLB slap him down.
