Today is the Rangers' first spring game, and Texas will be rolling out the expected Opening Day batting order, minus Adrian Beltre, still recovering from a calf strain.

Jeff Wilson writes about Ron Washington's decision to shake up the lineup and have Ian Kinsler hit first.

T.R. Sullivan has a variety of notes and thoughts up at his blog over at the Rangers website.

Sullivan mentions Doug Deeds as a player who could end up contributing in the majors this season, and Anthony Andro's notes in the S-T include a short Q&A with Deeds, along with updates on Brandon Webb, Michael Young and David Murphy.

Randy Galloway has a column about Michael Young's spring, the situation with him and Jon Daniels, and his role for the coming year.
