Just in case there weren't enough concerns about the rotation heading into the season, C.J. Wilson was pulled after two innings yesterday because of a tight hamstring, although Wilson says that the hamstring isn't a concern and he'll be good to go on Opening Day.

Jeff Wilson has a piece on the decisions the Rangers have to make with their pitching staff, with Alexi Ogando reportedly the favorite to replace Tommy Hunter in the rotation while Hunter is on the disabled list.

T.R. Sullivan also says that Ogando appears to be the favorite.

I don't get this at all.

Dave Bush is in contention to replace Hunter, and is battling Brett Tomko for the long relief job, but he has to be added to the 40 man roster today or he can exercise an out clause in his contract.  Bush says that he will exercise that out if he's not added.

Wilson says that the Rangers have the arms to win the A.L. West.  Wilson also writes that the path for the Rangers to win the West will be tougher this year.

Randy Galloway writes that, with the late spring injuries, the Rangers suddenly have more decisions to make.

Gil Lebreton says that the lesson from the World Series was that the Rangers need better pitching and defense, although he erroneously says that most stats showed that the Rangers had a poor defense in 2010.

Sullivan has a story on Chris Davis, who appears unlikely to be traded, as the Rangers like his potential and want to have him available in AAA as depth.

The S-T's notes have a Q&A with Rule 5 pick Mason Tobin and updates on Julio Borbon and Arthur Rhodes.
