The Rangers have traded catcher Matt Treanor to Kansas City for cash considerations. The move allows the Rangers to give Mike Napoli more time at catcher to get his bat in the lineup and also gives them the ability to keep eight relievers to start the season, if they choose to shorten the bench. It also means they have 39 players on the 40-man roster.
Yeah, I don't know what the Rangers are up to right now. But it looks like we will be seeing a lot of Mike Napoli behind the plate.
